Jeremiah 9:23-24  --  Thus says the LORD:  "Let not the wise man boast in his wisdom, let not the mighty man boast in his might, let not the rich man boast in his riches, but let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the LORD who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth.  For in these things I delight, declares the LORD."    

My wife Nancy and I were married in 1984. Nancy worked as a registered nurse for a number of years, but more recently has been a "stay at home mom." We have four sons: Ben, Brady, Brock and Brett. The two older boys are very active in sports (especially basketball and baseball) and Brock keeps busy with all sorts of activities. Nancy and I are also foster parents, and periodically we have an additional child in our home. 

The church and family keep me pretty busy, but I do find time for a few other activities. My favorite sport is football and I am a die-hard Green Bay Packer fan, living in the heart of Minnesota. 



 I am also very involved in youth basketball and Little League baseball. My #1 hobby is reading-- theology, politics, history, mysteries and "spy novels." Though I am not in any sense a musician (just ask anyone in our congregation), I do enjoy listening to music. Depending on the mood I am in, hymns, classical, Celtic and "oldies" are all my favorites.

My prayer is that God would fill me with a zeal for His glory, would enable me to boldly and effectively proclaim the truth of His Word, would give me a greater passion to see people everywhere become followers of Jesus Christ, and would increase my love for the people that God has called me to serve and shepherd here in Chisholm.
